Russian defence ministry plane carrying 39 people crashes in Siberia

A plane belonging to the Russian defence ministry has crashed in Yakutia, Siberia. The plane which was carrying 39 people, 32 passengers and 7 crew members, took off from Kansk before it came down about 18 miles short of Tiksi in the Bulun district of Russia’s far east due to bad weather.

It has been reported by Russia’s defence ministry that at least 23 of the people on board have been taken to the hospital with 16 of them in critical condition after the plane fell and broke into three pieces. So far, no death has been reported

Alleged corruption: Pres Buhari orders investigation of SGF, other government officials


President Buhari has ordered the investigation of top government officials including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, that have been indicted in one corruption investigation or the other. Babachir is alleged to have used his office a the chairman of the Presidential Initiative for North East PINE, to award some contracts to his company.
