2 years after getting private jet as birthday gift from church, pastor impregnates member

What would Jesus do is the right question to ask when one starts losing faith in religion due to the actions a man who is suppose to lead members to Christ.
Canada-based Ghanaian pastor, Martin Kofi Danso has many Christians asking questions after it was revealed he put a member of his church in the family way.
The self-proclaimed prophet was gifted a private jet by his members as a birthday gift in 2016. All that pampering and the 'man of God' has disappointed the ones who revere him the most.
According to reports, a DNA test confirmed that Pastor Kofi in fact put a congregant in the family way which yielded a son who is now 6-month-old. Danso attempted to conceal the grave sin and requested that Ontario Superior Court Justice, Fred Myers, extend a publication ban and sealing order on a court file related to allegations that he fathered a child with former congregant Chris-Ann Bartley.
However, following the confirmation of the paternity of the child, judge Myers dismissed the request.

Murtala Muhammed's family seeks justice for son’s murder 25 years after

The family of the late former Head of State, General Murtala Muhammed, on Monday, August 13, called on the National Assembly to enact a victims’ rights law.
The daughter of the late Head of State, Aisha Muhammed-Oyebode, who made the call in Lagos, said that this would give protection to future victims of heinous crimes.
She spoke at a special prayer organised by the family to mark the 25th remembrance of the murder of the late Zackari Muhammed, son of the late Head of State.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the family members, including brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces, among others, held special prayers for him simultaneously in Lagos and Abuja
NAN recalls that Zackari, a finance graduate of the University of Canterbury in Kent, was shot dead on August 13, 1993 in Abuja.
He was 27 years old at the time of his gruesome murder.
“In order to give protection to future victims of such heinous crimes and as a remembrance to our brother, we want to call for the enactment of victims’ rights legislation.
“Such law will ensure that the rights of victims of all crimes are protected in criminal prosecutions,” Muhammed-Oyebode said.
She decried the manner in which the case was handled, insisting that it left the family seeking justice.
“The case was shrouded in confusion and the way and manner it ended is an obvious injustice.
“Exactly 25 years ago today, our brother’s life was fatally cut short.
“In spite of knowing who the perpetrators were, all efforts to prosecute the matter did not pass the initial investigation and arraignment.
According to her, such law will ensure that the rights of victims of all crimes are protected in criminal prosecutions.
“All around the world, victims’ rights have been acknowledged as a basic human right.
“As far back as 1985, the United Nations adopted the Declaration of the Basic Principles of Justice for victims of crimes and abuse of power; so, it is time for Nigeria to adopt a victim-centric approach to criminal justice.
“Until such legislation is enacted, many of such crimes will continue to remain unsolved, and it will encourage unlawful killings and criminal impunity in our nation.
“In the crime of murder in particular, where the primary victim has been killed, the secondary victims must be able to have the legal support to seek justice and push the prosecution to its logical conclusion,” she further said.
Muhammed-Oyebode, however, described the late Zackari as a kind and very considerate son and brother, whose passion for the family and for his nation was unquantifiable.
“We miss his laughter too,” she added.
Muhammed-Oyebode said that the 25 years remembrance include support to his Alma Mater, King’s College, Lagos, with academic resources in his memory. (NAN)
General Muhammed was assassinated on his way to work in Lagos state during an abortive coup led by Lt-Colonel B.S. Dimka on February 13, 1976. In the short time of his reign Muhammed's policies won him broad popular support, and his decisiveness elevated him to the status of a folk hero.

Massive shakeup looms at SSS as Buhari decides acting DG’s fate

The State Security Services (SSS) may soon carry out a massive deployment of some of its personnel serving across Nigeria.
The deployment of SSS deployment follows the recent sack of its former director general, Lawal Daura, after an invasion of operatives of the secret service at the National Assembly.
Sources said the expected transfer would affect some state directors and those said to be manning some "strategic positions.”
The sources said the transfer may take place as soon as President Muhammadu Buhari who is currently on a vacation in London resumes work.
The President's return to Nigeria will also determine the fate of the already serving acting DG of the agency Mathew Seiyefa who was appointed by the acting president Yemi Osinbajo.
Although, Daura is yet to officially hand over to Seiyefa, the source said it is believed that some state governors have allegedly compromised some state directors of the SSS.
One of the sources said it was impossible for the federal government to allow such directors to continue serving in these state ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The source said: “Naturally, the leadership of the agency has to appraise the operational readiness of each state for the elections.
“Then, it will also look at the time a particular director has stayed in a state and check the criminal record under such officer when he arrived there. These are factors that will also play some roles in whether he would stay or not.
You also know that the police high command, even in the eve of an election, changes its commissioner of police in states. So, we could also do that but the action may either not be publicised or carried out at such short notice," the source noted.
Also, some top politicians of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is said to have been taken into consideration while considering the transfer in the agency.
A source said: “Some politicians believe that their state governors have compromised the directors of the agency in their states and have turned them against them (the politicians).
“While the DSS is not like police where commissioners of Police in states are politically exposed, we may have to look into such complaints if they are valid. Don’t also forget that he who plays the piper, calls the tune."
It was also gathered that the acting DG of the secret police is said to be eagerly waiting for the arrival of President Buhari who would either confirm his appointment or not.
Currently working towards stabilising operation at the agency, Seiyefa, is due for retirement in July 2019.
Another source raising the issue of the state of origin of the acting DG of the SSS said Seiyefa's appointment has angered some operatives at the agency.
A presidential source is said to have added that Seiyefa's Bayelsa origin could be an asset to the acting DG.
The source said: "There are two sides to the coin. Can government trust such a man because of where he hails from and the politics there? Will he be totally loyal to the Federal Government and President Buhari?
“Yes, his state of origin and background could also be the needed credibility that will help the government.
“Whatever be the case, the President will determine who will occupy the office when he returns to his desk on Monday," the source noted.
Seiyefa, who hails from Bayelsa state, had earlier served as the director of the Institute of Security Studies (ISS), before he was moved to the DSS headquarters.
