World Cup 2026: All semi-final fixtures confirmed as Flamingos through to U-17 Women’s World Cup


All the semi-final fixtures at the ongoing FIFA 
World Cup tournament have been confirmed.
This follows the conclusion of the quarter-final fixtures earlier today.

England defeated Norway 2-1 on Saturday night, thanks to Jude Bellingham’s brace.

The win ensured the Three Lions progressed to the World Cup semi-final stage.

Similarly, Argentina defeated Switzerland 3-1 after 120 minutes in the other quarter-final fixture to qualify for the last-4.

Lionel Scaloni’s side will now face England in the semi-final tie on Wednesday.

The other semi-final fixture will see France take on Spain on Tuesday.

Both countries had defeated Morocco and Belgium in the last - 8.

Meanwhile. Nigeria’s Flamingos secured a berth at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup following a 5-3 victory over Benin Republic at the Stade de Kégué, Lomé on Saturday.  

Benin rallied with two goals from Hermionne Lokossou, and Gandonou to make the scoreline 4-3.

Joseph however scored her third of the game 14 minutes from time to ensure the Flamingos return home with an away win.

Morocco will host the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in October.
