Adding that in the contemporary world, no region of the country can be claimed to be exonerated from the destabilizing effects and corruptive influence of trans-regional illicit trafficking of  drugs, arms, humans and services which are fueling greater insecurity and instability across the world.
Also speaking on the seminar topic, Olatunde Olayemi(regional adviser counter trafficking ECOWAS commission FCT  Abuja) examined the phenomena of human trafficking and its effect on the realisation of national development .he also noted that Nigeria is a country of origin transit and destination for human trafficking where most of the nigeran women and children are been trafficked  to Europe for domestic servantsand prostitution.
