The Northeast Governors Forum (NGF) has expressed disappointment over fact that the provision of N45.32 billion out of the proposed N13.02 trillion in the 2021 budget is for capital projects in the region.

The governors who made their grievances known in a communique issued at the end of its meeting on Friday, November 27, called for the execution of more capital projects next year to ensure the rapid development of the region.

While making the appeal in Yola, the forum demanded that the National Assembly need to review the 2021 federal government budget in the spirit of equity and inclusion. In the communique, the governors explained that N45.32 billion represents 0.35% of the proposed budget which means the northeast is highly short-changed.
