Okonjo-Iweala occupied the 33rd position on the list and was honoured alongside other notable personalities such as Pope Francis, Bill and Melinda Gates, Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, basketball player, Lebron James and Apple CEO, Tim Cook who occupies the first position.
The minister was recognized for ushering in a decade in which Nigeria’s GDP tripled.
She was also described as “a fearless promoter of sound economic policies.”
