Nigerians react to legislators’ N8.64bn wardrobe allowance

Nigeria’s newly sworn-in legislators are expected to receive a sum of N8.64 billion as wardrobe allowance next week.

This comes to a sum of N21.5 million each for the country’s 109 Senators and N17.5 million each for the 360 members of the House of Representatives.

Many Nigerians believe that the sum is exorbitant, especially due to the financial crisis in the country, and have reacted to the news via social media.
