It’s laughable to link me, Saraki to Offa robbery -Kwara governor

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara state has faulted those linking him and Senate President Bukola Saraki to the robbery incident that claimed many lives in Offa.
The governor condemned the action during an interview on Channels TV.
“It is only laughable to see and hear that I would be involved, or the Senate President would be involved in a process that will be counterproductive to what we are putting resources in, to ensure that the lives and activities of people change for the better,” he said.
He wondered how such allegation could be made against him and the senate president despite the fact that they have spent many years trying to improve service delivery to the people.
“I think we should begin to look at more seriously how we should begin to take security issues because as it were, the economy of Kwara is highly dependent on commercial activities,” the governor said.
Previously the police have revealed circumstances that led to the invitation of Senate President Bukola Saraki over April 5 multiple bank robbery in Offa Kwara state.
Police spokesman, Jimoh Moshood who announced the arrest of Mr Yusuf Abdulwahab, the chief of staff to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and Alabi Olalekan, his personal assistant, political said the bandits arrested made confessions during interrogations, indicting the senate president in the process.
