40-year-old BBC presenter dies 2 days after writing moving farewell note on Twitter

BBC reporter Rachael Bland has passed away after battling cancer for almost two years. The 40-year-old presenter had died two days after she shared a farewell message on social media.
According to BBC, her family had confirmed that she passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of this Wednesday, September 5.
Bland was a presenter on the BBC Radio 5 Live. She was also popular for co-hosting You, Me and the Big C podcast about cancer.
Two days before her death, the reporter had taken to Twitter to reveal that doctors had told her that she had only days left to live. She wrote: "In the words of the legendary Frank S - I'm afraid the time has come my friends. And suddenly. I'm told I've only got days. It's very surreal. Thank you so much for all the support I've received."
In August, the deceased broadcaster noted that she was writing a memoir to leave behind for her two-year-old son, Freddie.
She stated that the memoir is like a love letter to her son.

Rachel's husband Steve said: "She was an incredibly talented broadcaster as well as a wonderful and much loved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, wife and, most importantly to her, a mother to her precious little Freddie.
We all take such huge comfort and pride from the amazing and tireless work she has done since her diagnosis to reduce the stigma around cancer and prove that it is possible to live life to the fullest even when facing huge challenges on a daily basis. At the end, even though her body was at its weakest, her voice was at its strongest and most powerful. We will miss her more than words can say."
The reporter's career began 15 years ago. She married her colleague Steve Bland in 2013. In November, 2016, she was diagnosed with primary triple-negative cancer after finding a lump under her arm.
This is really sad, Rachael Bland was a fighter and an inspiration.
