Osun rerun:Political Bride Omisore Agrees for APC.

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate in the September 22 governorship election in Osun state, Chief Iyiola Omisore, has reportedly agreed to work with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the rerun election scheduled for Thursday, September 27.
Our source gathered that the deal was sealed after a meeting between Chief Omisore and an APC powerful delegation team led by its national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, in Osogbo early Wednesday, September 26.
Also in the team are Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo, Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa, Governor Abdulahi Ganduje of Kano and Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun.
Others are the governor-elect of Ekiti state, Dr Kayode Fayemi; minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; and deputy speaker of the House of Representatives; Alhaji Yusuf Lasun.
Senate President Bukola Saraki had met with Omisore on Monday, September 24 to canvass support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the rerun election.
Saraki visited Omisore alongside his aide, Bamikole Omisore, who is a cousin to the SDP candidate.
Fayemi had visited Omisore on Tuesday, September 25, in the latter's residence at Oduduwa Estate, Ibadan road, Ile-Ife, Osun state. Fayemi, however, told newsmen that his visit was not on political issues, but personal.
“Don’t you know that I am Omisore’s in-law and I am free to visit him anytime I wish? Therefore my purpose of coming to Omisore is neither on political issue nor rerun election coming up on Thursday. But I came to visit him to show my concern and care for his welfare," he told journalists.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has described as irresponsible and baseless, the allegation that uncollected Permanent Voter Cards were being released ahead of the rerun election.
Rotimi Oyekanmi, chief press secretary to the INEC chairman, dismissed the allegation on Monday, September 24 in Abuja, challenging the Coalition of United Political Parties, which raised the alarm, to provide the proof.
