Dangote, Elumelu among world influential philanthropists

Richtopia, a United Kingdom-based digital periodical that covers business, economic and financial news has on Wednesday, October 24, named Aliko Dangote as the richest man in Africa and the sixth most charitable man in the world.
Warren Buffett, Bill Gates and J.K Rowlings occupied the first three positions, while Oprah Winfrey and Elon Musk were in the fourth and fifth position, respectively.
Also included on the list in number 11 is Tony Elumelu, chairman, United Bank for Africa Plc.
Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Jeff Bezos of Amazon, George Soros, Mark Zuckerberg Profile Image Mark Zuckerberg, Michael Dell are among the top names included on the list of most influential philanthropists in the world.
Aliko Dangote is the richest man in Africa with $15.7 billion to his name, while Bill Gates he richest man in the world with $87.4 billion as his worth.
In 2012, Aliko Dangote spoke in an interview with MTV Base about investing, and one key thing he said was that he did not invest in anything he does not understand completely. This he said was one way he made sure his organization was focused. A thorough understanding of each venture helped him avoid making stupid investment decisions.
